Antennas: strategic components for wireless SAW sensing
In SENSeOR’s SAW based sensing systems, both SAW sensor and transceiver need an RF antenna. Antennas are a critical part of a well-functioning system.
SENSeOR has developed, together with scientific and industrial partners, unique expertise in that domain and is able to propose several types of antennas, each one being optimised for a specific environment and with reduced size for easy integration.
Environmental disturbances typical in an industrial environment are overcome by SENSeOR's systems.
SENSeOR uses an innovative double-resonator structure in its SAW sensors, as well as advanced antenna designs and algorithms.
Through these technics, measurement performance is significantly improved.
SENSeOR proposes systems using different types of antennas adapted to various environments (metallic, non metallic) and dimensional constraints (reduced size, standard dipole or monopole antennas, flexible material).

Vairous types of antennas have already been conceived and optimized for SAW sensors for our customers: microstrip antennas, patch antennas, slot antennas, meander antennas, PIFA etc. depending on environment constraints, interrogation distance, size constraints.
