- Wireless SAW Reader at 434MHz

SENSeOR’s wireless interrogator at 434MHz is designed for wireless interrogation of SAW resonator sensors. It respects ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) regulations, and emits no more than 10dBm peak power in the 433 MHz band. An automatic gain control is included to provide maximum flexibility of the interrogation unit, with acceptable signal strengths for distances ranging from a few tens of centimetres to several meters. The automatic gain control might reduce the output level to avoid saturation of the receiver stage, but will never increase the emitted strength above the 10dBm limit (unless it is a version specifically designed for the customer and not object to the ISM certification. SENSeOR has produced many of such variants, please contact us for more information at contact@senseor.com)..

The received signal strength is available to the user either as a digital information on the communication port or as an analog voltage as a function of scanned frequency on the SMA output. If the automatic gain control is active, an indicator of the emitter power (ranging from 0 to 15) is provided in the sentences of the digital communication protocol.

Portable, easy-to-use, it can be integrated to your existing control system through its multiple interfaces (USB, analogue, others on request such as ZigBee…),

- SAW Antennas

Radiofrequency propagation is strongly affected by the environment of the interrogation unit and the sensor, metallic parts being the most disturbing elements.

SENSeOR has developed a unique expertise in that domain and is able to propose several types of antennas, each one being optimised for a specific environment and with reduced size for an easy integration.

The default configuration unit of the SENSeOR’s interrogation unit is to be equipped with either monopole (17 cm long) or dipole (35 cm total length) antenna, depending whether the environment is mostly metallic (former case) or dielectric (latter case).

In complex environments, a dedicated antenna might be developed to meet customer needs (size, shape, radiation pattern). SENSeOR can provide this service upon request contact us at (contact@senseor.com).

- User Friendly Software

The most convenient access to the data recorded by the interrogation unit is through the Java based user frienldy software delivered within the demonstration kits: this program acquires the sentences generated by the interrogation unit, converts these data to physical quantities meaningful to the end-user, and displays the results
