Sensing based on Surface Acoustic Waves encompasses many possibilities, both in wireless and wired modes. Because the SAW sensitive element reacts to any compression or extension, we can measure temperature but also pressure, strain, torque. With mass loading of the SAW sensitive elements, biological sensors, or liquid sensors can be designed.

SENSeOR focuses its development efforts on temperature and strain measurements, to design industrial products.
But SENSeOR’s R&D team is also deeply involved for years in advanced research projects to develop other types of sensors, for instance biological sensors. Our scientists work together with our renowned research institutes partners to lead the evolution of SAW technology.

SENSeOR’s electronic engineers also put their competencies on developing the highest-performance yet simple platform, acting like a concentrator to enable easy and modular access to all the features of SAW sensors, associated to other inputs (for instance RFID, current sensors, humidity sensors) with many connectivity options (Modbus, Bluetooth Low Energy BLE, Ethernet etc.).

SENSeOR’s monitoring platform

SENSeOR’s concentrator can also be used with specifically-developed antennas to detect partial discharge activity with the same system as for temperature monitoring, for instance in switchgear cubicles.
